According to the Nigerian army, more than 100 people were killed by Boko Haram terrorists in a deadly attack on Dalori village in Borno state. Some of the victims including women and children were burnt alive. A survivor who hid in a tree and claimed that several of his family members were killed, informed journalists that he watched Boko Haram extremists firebomb huts and heard the screams of children burning to death.
Nigerian officials also confirmed the fact that at least 100 people died in the Islamic extremists attack. Meanwhile, in a televised interview with BBC, Nigerian President, Buhari, recently claimed a technical defeat over Boko Haram.

The Nation reports that one Hassan Aliyu, a member of the Civilian in Maiduguri said: “Even as at last night, the people that died were more than one hundred. I am sure many may have died today. Anybody that tells you that the figure is less than one hundred is just not saying the truth.”
Alhaji Dambatta, a Nigerian, who is also a member of the Civilian-JTF said: “The casualty is beyond our imagination and most of those that were injured are in very critical conditions. Many of them may not survive because of the degree of injuries.”
Presently, there is no doubt that Boko Haram, a Muslim terrorist group that has been rated as one of the world’s deadliest terrorist groups, is one of the major problems Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa is facing.
This attack has left many wondering if the Nigerian president, Buhari was correct when he said in his interview that Boko Haram has been technically defeated.
The ruthless group can be equated to pure evil as they are now determined to carry out incessant killings of innocent citizens.
Boko Haram seems to be more furious than ever before because their dream of a Muslim Caliphate has been shattered by the Nigerian Army who are fighting vigorously to eradicate the terrorist organization from Nigeria.
