Las Vegas shooter’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, has returned to the United States. She travelled to her home country, Philippines, but she has Australian passport. Law enforcement agents are trying to figure out if she has something to do with the recent Las Vegas massacre.
Upon landing at Los Angeles International Airport, Danley who is 62-year-old, was immediately whisked away by FBI for interrogation. However, she was not arrested and is free to go wherever she wishes.
In a her statement to the FBI, Marilou said: “It never occurred to me in any whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone.” …”He never said anything to me or took any action that I was aware of that I understood in any way to be a warning that something horrible like this was going to happen.”
On Wednesday, as Danley’s sisters were interviewed by Australia’s Channel 7, one of them said that Danley was sent away by Paddock so she didn’t interfere with his plans to carry out the shooting. In her own words:
“I know that she don’t know anything as well, like us. She was sent away. She was away so that she will be not there to interfere with what he’s planning.”
The sisters had their faces blurred during the interview for security reasons and they spoke with Channel 7 on the condition of anonymity.
Although Marilou has not been proved to be an accomplice but the Las Vegas police has officially named her a “person of interest” because she lives together with the shooter.
