Joe Biden has publicly addressed the allegations against him for the first time. Biden allegedly pushed Tara Reade against the wall 27 years ago, pulled up her skirt, and penetrated her with his fingers. Reade alleged that the incident happened while she was a staff assistant in Biden’s senate office in 1993. She also claimed to have informed the senior staffers about the issue at that time, but the 21 senior staffers have said that she never approached them to complain or raise any issue of that nature.
Biden has said that the allegation is false and it never happened. He said: “They aren’t true. This never happened.“ The democrats believe that Republicans are behind the so-called allegation because they’ve been wanting to dig up dirt on the Democratic Presidential candidate, Joe Biden.
In 2019 interviews with the Washington Post, Reade said that Biden “touched her neck and shoulders but did not mention the alleged assault or suggest there was more to the story.”
According to Biden: “News organizations that have talked with literally dozens of former staffers have not found one — not one — who corroborated her allegations in any way. Indeed, many of them spoke to the culture of an office that would not have tolerated harassment in any way – as indeed I would not have.”
