Few days after announcing that millions of illegal immigrants to be removed from U.S., President Donald Trump officially began his campaign for re-election on Tuesday at a rally in Orlando, Florida. According to the Republican National Committee, soon after Trump launched his re-election campaign, he received nearly $25 million in contributions in less than a day. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel announced via Twitter that Trump raised a “record breaking $24.8M in less than 24 hours for his re-election.” In her tweet she added that “The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we’ve ever seen!”
On the Democratic side, in the first day after launching their campaign, former Vice President Joe Biden raked in $6.3 million and Sen. Bernie Sanders brought in $5.9 million.
