We all know that President Donald Trump is against LGBT people, hence Some in the LGBT community wondered if they should speed up wedding plans so they could be married before his inauguration. However, the vice president, Mike Pence seems to be more anti-gay than Trump.
As Indiana governor, Pence signed his state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 2015, which essentially gave all businesses the right to refuse to serve gay people.
Most local medias have reported that when gay rights were being discussed in a meeting, Trump pointed to Pence and joked, “Don’t ask that guy — he wants to hang them all.” Pence is being referred to as one of the most anti-LGBT politicians in the history of America.”
However, Pence office has debunked the so-called “Pence wants to hang all gays” claim. Press Secretary for the Vice President, Alyssa Farah, released a statement which reads: “Articles like this are why the American people have lost so much faith in the press. The New Yorker piece is filled with unsubstantiated, unsourced claims that are untrue and offensive.”
